Kansas City comes off a 10-1 win over Texas on Wednesday as M.J. Melendez hit a two-run double and an RBI single and the Rangers were held to four hits. The Royals have won both of Brady Singer's starts although he gave up five runs in a 6-5 victory over San Francisco on Saturday after allowing one run on two hits versus Toronto his previous appearance. Only four Atlanta hitters have ever faced Singer, who finished 10-5 with a 3.23 ERA in 2022. Charlie Morton has given up six runs on 15 hits in 10 1/3 innings this season and he is 1-2 with a 4.44 ERA in his career against the Royals, who hope Wednesday's game is the start of a turnaround offensively.
