The Braves appear to have the best team in baseball, and are off to a 15-6 start. They have strong starting pitching, a dynamic closer, and a deep lineup. If Paul Maholm keeps delivering gems as he has to open the season, the Braves will win 100+ games. Maholm is 3-1 with a 1.03 ERA to start the season. The Tigers can't seem to get on track at 10-10, and are even struggling in Justin Verlander's starts. Once the starter is gone, the Tigers' pen is crashing and burning in a lot of games. Maholm has also owned Fielder as he is just 7-51 in his career against him with 15 Ks. The Braves are now 17-5 following an off day, and are 7-0 in their last seven series openers. Go with Atlanta.
