The Washington Nationals have added pitching depth, and now have a lineup capable of doing some damage to go with a pretty good bullpen. Their starting pitching sits at No. 1 through April, is 15-9 overall and at 9-3 at home and this team has become a bona fide contender, but they still lack respect from the books. Ian Kennedy is 24-4 in his last 28 decisions, but the D-Backs are just 3-2 with him on the hill in his first five starts. He has allowed 38 hits in 32 innings so the Nats should get a few opportunities here. While Kennedy has become a notable starter, Ross Detwiler rides in still under the radar with an ERA of 1.71 on the season. Detwiler has allowed more than 3 runs in a start just once in his last 14 taking the ball, and over his last six starts he has allowed a grand total of just 4 runs. The D-backs have dropped six straight when facing an opponent that scored 5 or more runs in their last game, while Kennedy has pitched to a 16-5 UNDER mark after a team loss. The Nationals are riding high off a win where they are 20-7 in their last 27, and the solid pitching and pen have led to a 29-11 mark to the UNDER in their last 40 games. Play Washington and the UNDER in this one.
