Arizona at Texas

The road teams have had the advantage throughout the playoffs this year and Arizona is the lucky one in Game 1 of the World Series as they travel to play the Texas Rangers. The Diamondbacks will have Zac Gallen on the mound and he is 1-1 with a 3.57 ERA in three career appearances against the Rangers. Gallen finished the regular season 17-9 with a 3.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP while leading the team in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched. Texas hitters are batting a combined .256 with two homers in 86 at-bats against Gallen. The Rangers will go with Nathan Eovaldi, who will be making his first World Series start. Texas has lost six straight interleague matchups against teams with winning records and the Rangers have lost eight of their past nine playoff home games. Arizona just got two clutch wins at one of the toughest parks in which to play. Look for the road teams' success to continue and play the Diamondbacks as a Max Play.
