Arizona at Texas

Arizona improved to 28-25 on the road with a 9-2 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday night for its fifth win in seven games. Robbie Ray is on the mound tonight and he has a current 3.81 ERA and .220 opponent batting average while not getting much run support. The Diamondbacks won his last two starts as he allowed only two runs in 12 1/3 innings and he faced Texas once this season and gave up a run on two hits in five innings. Veteran Jesse Chavez has been hit hard recently allowing 16 runs (13 earned) his last three starts covering 16 1/3 innings. Chavez has a 5.28 ERA at home compared to 2.65 on the road. The Rangers have cooled off after an unexpectedly solid first half and have lost nine of their last 13 and Arizona has won five straight interleague games. Take the Diamondbacks.
