The San Francisco Giants have a 10 game lead, and have clinched the NL West. They could easily find it hard to find a whole lot of energy for this one. The Giants have lost two straight including an uncompetitive loss here last night 7-2 to the D-Backs, who still have a puncher’s chance for a wildcard spot. Wade Miley has one more win on the season than Matt Cain, pitching for a lesser team, so he is more than capable of matching up with him. Arizona owns a 44-21 mark when facing a team that plated 2 runs or less in their previous game, including 12-3 behind Miley in his last 15 starts in that situation. The Giants have not fared well behind their ace Cain vs. a winning team at just 1-5 in his last six when facing one. Play on Arizona.
