Arizona at San Francisco

The season has long reached a conclusion in San Francisco, who disappointingly will not defend their World Series title from a year ago. The Arizona Diamondbacks have their hopes on life support, and can ill afford a loss here. Ryan Vogelsong has had a dreadful season, entering this game at 3-4 with a 5.49 ERA. He certainly hasn't matched up well against Arizona, even when he was pitching much better. His career numbers show a pedestrian 2-3 record with a 4.25 ERA in 15 career appearances, of which nine of them were starts. Trevor Cahill has had an equally mediocre season for Arizona, but he is off of a pair of wins in his last two starts. Arizona has been 19-8 in their last 27 on the road vs. a team with a losing home record. The Giants simply have not been able to get it done at home as a favorite, where they are a woeful 2-10 in their last 12. Back the road team here.
