Neither team has much offense and we like the pitching match-up here. San Francisco has won just 10 of their last 33 games. Tim Lincecum has been mediocre all season and downright bad recently. He's got a 5.03 ERA in his ten appearances which has ballooned to 7.98 over his last three starts. In his last three starts, he fared OK against San Diego but he gave up 13 runs in 16.5 innings to Milwaukee and Toronto. Micah Owings has kept the D-Backs in every game, posting a 5-2 record. Arizona is a perfect 6-0 with him on the mound vs. a losing opponent. The Diamondbacks own a nice 27-15 mark over losing teams this season. They are 32-16 against poor-hitting NL competition the past two seasons (vs. teams batting .255 or worse). Arizona has also fared well in close games this season as they are 27-14 to a line of -125 to +125 including 12-4 on the road! Meanwhile the Giants are just 7-12 as a favorite of -125 to -175.
