San Francisco is making a run for a playoff berth winning five in a row, including Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Arizona when Brandon Crawford hit a walk-off two-run homer to improve to 34-27 at home while the Diamondbacks now are 21-34 on the road. Carlos Rodon had a few rough outings in late July, but he has bounced back with three impressive starts and the Giants won all three, including 5-3 over Pittsburgh on Friday when Rodon gave up two runs on six hits in six innings. The left-hander has a 6-1 record and 1.89 ERA and .219 opponent batting average at home this season. Arizona has lost six of Zach Davies' past eight starts and he has a 5.00 ERA on the road. The Diamondbacks are 13-38 their past 51 road games versus left-handed starters and 27-71 overall after after scoring two or fewer runs their previous game.
