San Francisco has won six of eight after defeating the Diamondbacks again 4-2 on Wednesday when J.D. Davis hit a go-ahead two-run double in the sixth. Arizona has lost 10 of 13 and fallen 5 1/2 games off the pace in the NL West after leading the division earleir in the season. Scott Alexander is scheduled to start a bullpen game for the Giants, who are 32-24 at home and 29-20 against teams that have winning records this season. San Francisco is 39-19 the past 58 meetings and the Giants have won eight of their past 10 home games overall. Brandon Pfaadt is 0-4 with a 8.20 ERA and 1.63 WHIP and he has allowed six runs on 12 hits in 11 2/3 innings his past two starts since being called back up from the minors.
