Oakland snapped the Diamondbacks' four-game win streak with a thrilling 9-8 victory in 12 innings that featured a game-tying grand slam by Ryan Noda and a walk-off single by Esteury Ruiz. It was the seventh win in the past eight meetings for the Athletics and they'll send Luis Medina to the mound today. Medina bounced back from a bad first start of the season and allowed three runs on five hits in six innings against Texas on Thursday. Ryne Nelson has a 6.20 ERA and 1.55 WHIP for Arizona, which has lost six of his eight starts this year although he did win his last outing 7-5 against San Francisco even though he gave up four runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
