The New York Mets started the season poorly and all the promises of their deep and above-average rotation seemed to be melting. The Mets stood at 41-50 through 91 games and talk of moving some top-of-the-rotation pitchers was everywhere. The Mets stood pat believing that they could still make a run and they sure have. They have played themselves back into the Wild Card chase by going 35-19. The Mets did just the opposite, they picked up Marcus Stroman who has a 3.42 ERA on the season and the Mets have a winning record in his seven starts with them and a 6% ROI.
