Last season was supposed to be one where the Marlins contended, as they signed a lot of free agents to open their new park. It never materialized, so this team was stripped down to the bone. The roster is full of minor league players learning on the big stage and the result, as expected, has been woeful. Miami heads to the quarter pole at 11-31 which projects to 120 loses, so the wins are going to be few and far between, especially vs. a winning club. Arizona is 24-18 on the strength of 8 wins in their last 11 games, so they are playing well right now. They have also won five straight on the road vs. a team with a home winning percentage of less than .400. The Marlins' 13-40 record in their last 53 as a dog is ominous here, so play on Arizona.
