The pitching has been pedestrian during the stretch, but the bats have stayed in the bat rack, as the Marlins’ inept offense has delivered just 13 runs in their last 8 games, scoring about 1.5 per contest, which is not becoming of a large favorite. The Diamondbacks have taken 2-of-3 in this series, outscoring the Marlins 15-7. That has stretched the D-Backs’ mark to 15-6 in their last 21 vs. a team below .400.
