They didn't need him to be great, and that has been the story for the Dodgers in the last week, where the offense has taken charge, averaging seven runs per contest over their last seven. Arizona used up the top of their rotation to beat the Rockies to get to this series, and saw Taijuan Walker implode, allowing four runs and lasting just one inning. The D-Backs once again turned to a starter in Zack Godley to work five innings. This team has seen its pitching get used and abused, and it will be hard for them to piece together nine innings here against a Dodgers team that is swinging the bats very well.
