Arizona at Baltimore

The D-Backs ran into a freight train in New York, as the Yankee machine is punching out W's against all comers. They simply caught them at the wrong time. Baltimore may be a team that they are catching at the right time. The Birds have dropped five straight. The Birds are also just 2-10 over their last 12. Bedard has pitched well, but the pen has allowed 13 runs in his last 6 starts and Baltimore has now lost 5 of his last 6 starts. Micah Owings has allowed more than 3 runs in just 1 start all season, and with the Birds exceeding four runs just twice in their last 10 games will necessitate an extreme effort from both Bedard and a failing pen. We like the dog to open with the win.
