New York can't afford to go down 3-1 and will look to Jose Quintana to keep the Mets in the series and he allowed one run on two hits in five innings his last start against Philadelphia in the ALDS. The Mets have won five of his past six starts and he has allowed only three earned runs in that span in 41 innings pitched. Quintana had his best month in September when he recorded a 0.72 ERA and a .176 opponent batting average. The Mets will face a tough opponent in Yashinobu Yamamoto, who pitched five scoreless innings in the ALDS clincher against San Diego on Friday. However, New York has won 14 of 17 home games and it has come up big in the playoffs when it needed a game the most. Take the Mets and the UNDER.

The LA Dodgers made quick work of the New York Mets in the NLCS opener in LA 9-0. The Dodgers bandwagon will be filling up after Game 1; History tends to agree with them as a team shutout in Game 1 loses Game 2 60% of the time. That goes up if the winning team in Game 1 scored six or more runs, as they also win Game 2 83% of the time. The Mets will try to capture Game 2 as they face Ryan Brasier. Brasier is no easy task as the Dodgers went 24-10 in his 34 starts, but more notably, the Dodgers have not lost a game he started at home since June 1! (10-0).
