Top pick: #6 (NEWSDAD) - He's proven that he likes both turf & "poly", but can't even "run a lick" on conventional dirt. Lightly raced son of the "hot" stallion "Arch", colt is in the hands of Bill Mott and finished a close-up 4th at Keeneland April 16th in the Blue Grass S.(G1), a race wher he may have been best. Nice to see Alan Garcia come in for the ride and this home-bred is the top pick.
2nd pick: #3 (BURJ ALZAIN) - Irish-bred has run well in all 5 starts ( all on artificial surfaces) and last out just missed in a strong performance at Arlington in his North American debut. He's a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #9 (Twinspired) - All of his success (5-2-1-1) has come on synthetic surfaces and colt was beaten a "short" nose in the Blue Grass at Keeneland before finishing 17th of 19 in the Kentucky Derby May 7. Working fine for this and Robbie Albarado makes the trip with him.
