Top pick: #1a (THE BULL GOT SHOT) - He's coupled in the betting with No. 1 "Tuxedo Ray" and rider Joe Stein is listed on both halves. This gelding just failed here a week ago at this level going 6 furlongs and should love the extra 1/8th of a mile he travels today. Speed/stalker will be very tough to beat if he stays in.
2nd pick: #7 (Bobcaygeon) - 4-year-old was competitive in both starts here last year and is training fast for his first start since late August. Strong finisher would benefit the most if the pace is fast/and or contested.
3rd pick: #6 (Bear's Ruckus) - He was an impressive winner when debuting here April 27th, then tired badly last out at this level in his first facing winners. Draws a nice post and should be more competitive this evening.
