Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (RUN THE ALLEY) (4-1) - Colt shortens up in distance following an even effort in his local and synthetic surface debut here going a mile Nov. 30. He's worked since and his experience gives him a slight edge over a largely un-raced field.
2nd pick: #4 (Wazzup Chuck) (6) - One of five making their debuts son of "Scat Daddy' cost $100,000 as a yearling in September of 2015. Four of his last six works are above average including a good five furlong local breeze from the gate Dec. 17.
3rd pick: #11 (Noshackleshere) (8-1) - He showed little when debuting at this level and distance on the Ellis Park dirt Sept. 2. Capable barn (Ben Colebrook) adds lasix and home bred by 'Shackleford' draws a nice outside post.
4th pick: #3 (Hay Net) (8-1) - He tired last out at Churchill after setting the pace in a seven furlong contest facing $30K claimers. Owner/trainer Otto Draper moves him up in class for his synthetic surface debut. His early speed is dangerous in this spot.
