Top pick: #10 (DA BOSS) (2-1) - He enters in by far the best form in this 11 horse field and comes off a second place finish here at this tag going 6-furlongs on Nov. 12. Solid effort was his first start since late march, and the outside post and extra 1/16th he travels are positives.
nd pick: #7 (Musicstreet Menace) (4-1) - Claimed in Sept. at Churchill Downs for $5K, veteran gelding finish fourth here at this level going a mile Nov. 6 in his first race here on the dirt. Nice effort and owner/trainer Brian Stivers will be cutting him back in distance.
rd pick: #3 (Steamy Story) (6-1) - Old-timer is racing back into shape after returning from a 5 1/2 month break and he'll be stretching out in distance. Can impact at a square price.
th pick: #1 (Fine and Rare) (5-1) - Nicely-bred gelding makes his first local appearance and ships in from Zia Park where he was racing for a bit higher price. Has the rail, and can factor from off the pace.
th pick: #2 (Truckin) (8-1) - He's raced evenly in both local appearances after coming from Finger Lakes off a four month vacation. Fits with his best and he has a fine local record 15-5-5-2.
