Top pick: #5 (ALYDIDIT) (4-1) - He comes off a solid try when finishing third of 10, beaten three lengths racing at this level and distance Feb. 23. Price play is from a good barn (Jeff Metz) and can take this with a slight move forward.
nd pick: #10 (Victory for Ce) (9-5) - Canadian-bred was an impressive gate-to-wire winner here when debuting at this distance for an $8K tag on Feb. 4. Nicely spotted in his first racing winners, he draws a nice outside post and is a strong win candidate.
rd pick: #6 (Gilded Knight) (12-1) - He's raced evenly in his last pair following a claim and has races last fall that would win this if repeatable. Speed/stalker can factor with a patient ride.
th pick: #9 (Mercy Star) (15-1) - He finished an even fourth last out and was 2 1/2 back of "Alydidit." Moves out in the gate (a plus) and can factor at a big price.
th pick: #1 (Serge to Paradise) (7-2) - Speedy sort comes off a solid pace-setting second-place effort at this level and distance Feb. 23. It was his best since the fall of 2012, needs to prove it wasn't a "fluke," and will be over-bet.
