Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (RUBY'S GONE AGAIN) (3-1) - Four-year-old home bred filly has the best early speed and has finished second here in two of three starts at this $5,000 claiming price. Last out she tired to finish 'off the board' after being bumped at the break and forced to rush up to contest the pace. Lightly-raced she looks set for her maiden win.
2nd pick: #2 (Wynn Direction) (5-2) - Calif. bred recovered following an awkward start to finish fourth here at this tag March 7. It was her first since Nov. 23, her first for trainer Jeff Metz, and only her second ever on conventional dirt. Competitive in the past facing tougher on both grass and poly, she's a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #1 (Happy Maggie) (4-1) - Nicely bred grey filly had trouble breaking cleanly in four of her last five starts and is taking a big drop in class, switches from grass to dirt, and is shortening up in distance. Home bred is dangerous if she breaks alertly.
4th pick: #3 (Storming Reese) (7-2) - She's exchanged decisions with 'Ruby's Gone Again' in her last three starts. 'Ruby' bested her here on Feb.14 and 27, but this 4-year-old was in front of her March 13. Stretch threat.
