Top pick: #1 (ROGUE RIVER) - In a very good barn (Steve Miyadi) and gelding by "Cryptoclearance" finished a pace-setting third here on November 8 his first effort outside of California. Has a sharp drill on the Nov. 19 and he draws the rail. Can win this from on, or just off the lead.
2nd pick: #3 (Big Sky Michael) - Longshot was sprinted here on Halloween, his first start since late June at Emerald Downs. Stretches-out and gets the addition of blinkers from a cagey barn (Jacque Guerra). Nice price play in the exotics.
3rd pick: #8 (Zahari) - He's finished second or third in eight of his thirteen starts including a second-place finish locally in his latest. One run type shoul find himself with a good chance turning for home.
4th pick: #9 (G Frost) - He ran a big race last out finishing second, beating the top pick, but was disqualified for "bumping" another rival. Race was his best ever and if gelding by "Alphabet Soup" repeats it he could be a major player. His outside post is of no help.
