Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CATSNOTNAPPING) (3-1) - Strong finisher makes his local debut and does so off a two month freshening. Calif. bred was in good form this past summer at Canterbury Downs and can take this if he brings his Minnesota form with him.
2nd pick: #1 (Jila's Vincenzo) (5-1) - He ships from Arapahoe Park where he finished second in three of five starts there racing on the dirt. In his only previous grass attempt, 4-year-old ran evenly here in late January facing tougher. Has the rail and can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #5 (Paradise High) (7-2) - On the sidelines since May 1, he was competitive here last winter/spring in four consecutive turf starts without winning. Lightly-raced 4-year-old has a pair of sharp recent works and fits with this group if ready.
4th pick: #2 (Persisting) (6-1) - Speedy sort drops in class for his first since Sept 5. He tired in all four starts on the Canterbury turf during the summer, but has done his best racing 4-2-1-0 on this course. Dangerous at a big price on the front end.
