Top pick: #6 (SHOOTITINTHEBUSH) (8-5) - Gelding tired badly last out after being involved in a speed-duel racing for a $30K tag. Trainer Bob Diodoro drops him down to race for a $10K price and this runner has the best early speed of those that have raced.
2nd pick: #8 (Royal Demon) (6-1) - In a winning barn (Jeff Metz), he's also dropping down and will be racing with blinkers on for the first time. This field drew pretty weak and that makes him a win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Sir Lazz) (12-1) - Another that's dropping down, and this lightly-raced gelding will go turf-to-dirt and shorten up in distance. Three-year-old has a fine recent work and is a threat at a big price.
4th pick: #1 (Good Decision) (15-1) - Debuting gelding has been in steady training here since late Oct. and he's from a good medium size barn (Shawn Davis). He need not be much to factor against this group.
