Traveling 6.5-furlongs, he rated just off the pace, rallied to take a short lead, then was beaten a 'neck' in a three-horse win photo. Owner/trainer Nate Owen has leading rider Scott Stevens aboard for this attempt.
3rd pick: #7 (Takem by Surprise) (9-2) - Veteran has raced evenly in his last pair after having some trouble leaving the gate in each. Competitive in three of four prior to that, he can factor with his best.
4th pick: #8 (Sun Catcher) (3-1) - Old timer has sharp early speed and missed by less than a length here at this claiming price going five furlongs March 15. It was a fine overall effort and a repeat of it makes him dangerous.
