Top pick: #5 (OUR BLACK BEAUTY) (2-1) - She enters off a career best when winning here at this tag on Dec. 1st to clear the 2l condition. Well-bred filly has been given five weeks to recover, and I like her chances right back.
2nd pick: #1 (Esteems Squad) (5-2) - In the barn of leading trainer Bob Diodoro, she's gone 3-0-2-1 since coming from Northlands Park. In shape, consistent, and an obvious win candidate. I almost made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #6 (Monkey Wrench) (4-1) - Very lightly raced filly has been on the sidelines since May 19 when she ran third at Canterbury Park for a $12.5K tag. Claimed that day by Bill Brashears, she makes her return well under the purchase price, and that raises a big "red" flag. Tough call, but a factor if ready.
4th pick: #7 (Isagia Mia) (8-1) - Longshot rallied to run second here at this level on Dec. 11th in her second back from almost a three month break. Stretch threat, but needs to do a bit better late.
