2nd pick: #5 (Rogelio) (10-1) - Longshot moves back to the dirt and shortens up in distance. This gelding raced evenly going a mile on the local turf facing tougher Dec. 12 following a wide effort sprinting on the dirt Nov. 24. I think he can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #3 (Zambora) (2-1) - Golden Gate Fields invader rallied to finish 4th when debuting here on the Tapeta surface at this $8,000 claiming price Dec. 7. Colt is an obvious contender if he handles the switch to conventional dirt.
4th pick: #2 (Dimera) (12-1) - Another longshot, he rallied to finish 4th here at this tag going five furlongs Nov. 24, then ran both wide and evenly in his follow up Dec. 12. I believe a minor award at a big price is his ceiling.
