Top pick: #5 (TEN KITTENS) (7-2) - She's one of two home-breds entered by the leading trainer here (Bo Diodoro), and the pair race uncoupled. Both are by "Rock Hard Ten," and they each have some impressive works on view as they make their debuts. Believe this one has the better overall a.m. moves, and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Ten Note Melody) (7-2) - The second of the Diodoro fillies, she also has some sharp breezes showing and is bred for speed. They give the trainer a strong hand if he sends both out.
3rd pick: #1 (Libby) (5-1) - Cal bred has taken money at the windows in several of her starts and will be cutting back in distance and going from turf to dirt. In a capable barn (Molly Pearson), and filly breaks from the rail.
4th pick: #4 (S U M Racer) (12-1) - Longshot finished a distant third in her local debut Nov. 8th. It was her first in almost five months and was a 5-furlong sprint facing males. She's worked fast since, and it's noted that before coming here from Texas she faced much tougher in her first pair at Lone Star Park.
