If ready, this 3-year-old will beat these.
2nd pick: #4 (Holy Frac) (9-5) - He returns from a Feb 18 fresheining as a new gelding. He's been competitive on both turf and dirt and has a bullet half-mile breeze March 16th. Very dangerous and a serious win candidate if 'Purple Heaven' isn't ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Masterful Stride) (6-1) - The second of the Bensmiller pair, he finished an even third when debuting here at this level March 22. A useful first outing and he should contend with normal second out improvement.
4th pick: #10 (Airship) (15-1) - He's also racing as a new gelding. Working very fast for his first since late October, he was beaten three time by 'Purple Heaven' last year at Northlands Park. His works indicate he may factor at a big price.
5th pick: #9 (North Lake Tahoe) (12-1) - Very fast from the gate, gelding has been tiring readily in all his starts. Three-year-old makes his local debut after shipping in from Los Alamitos and is racing first off a claim. Interesting longshot.
