Top pick: #6 (INDIAN SMOKE) (8-5) - The probable favorite, he's well bred, lightly raced, and is racing third back from almost a 10 1/2 month layoff. Grey gelding is dropping to a new low in class while shortening up in distance. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Rock n' Cat) (10-1) - Longshot has not raced since last July. He does have some speed and has been working extremely fast here for a new trainer (Randy Bonn, six for 21 in 2014). He's almost nothing in nine previous starts, but his a.m. drills are much too sharp to ignore.
3rd pick: #7 (Buccaneer Beach) (9-5) - An obvious contender, he's been competitive in all three local starts since coming off a 6 1/2 month layoff in Nov. He missed by a 'neck' here last out at this tag & trip Jan. 11th. A career best, he's a must use in the three horse win mix.
4th pick: #1 (Geoduck Bob) (20-1) - 'Bob' is lightly raced and has a bit of early speed. Washington bred draws the rail, and this abbreviated sprint starts almost on the far turn. That inside post may enable him to hold down a slice at a big price.
