Top pick: #4 (TALE BE TOLD) (7-2) - Canterbury invader finished second there on the dirt at this level Aug. 23rd, then ran very poorly in a follow up race Sept. 13th. Freshened up since, he's working well locally, and the Diodoro barn moves him back to the grass. He fits with his best on the infield and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Mancala) (8-5) - The probable favorite, speedy gelding finished second facing tougher at Canterbury on Sept. 4th and is training very fast locally for his first since then. He loves the local turf (8-2-3-2) and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Indy Racer) (5-1) - He exits the same Sept. 4th race at Canterbury as "Mancala," and he was six back of that rival at the finish after chasing the early pace. He's won here in the past, has some back class, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (El Cadete) (6-1) - He's making both his local and grass debut after going 11-2-3-3 on the Assiniboia Downs dirt from spring until late summer. Stalker races off a trainer change to Jared Brown (21% with new arrivals) and is bred to handle the turf.
