Top pick: #9 (VICKIE VEE) - Daughter of the "Vicar" acted up a bit before her race on Dec. 13 yet still finished a fine fourth at this level and distance. Race was her first sinclate April and trainer Gary Barrow has given her a month and a maintenance drill in preparation for this. She has a clear speed to track and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (China Cat) - Speedy shipper from Northern California runs third off a nine-month layoff and it will be her first ever on conventional dirt. She'll clear off early and may prove very tough to catch.
3rd pick: #12 (Where's My Limo) - She draws a very tough outside post for this abbreviated sprint (five furlongs) but she's run well in all her local starts and this field is a very poor one. Win candidate from just off the lead.
