Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (AUSSIE ROCKS) (7-2) - Colt showed nothing when debuting in one-mile turf contest at Del Mar Nov. 28th. He was facing much tougher and runs today off a private trainer change to Mike Chambers (21% with new arrivals). New barn drops him way down in class, switches him to the dirt, adds blinkers, and shortens him up in distance. He meets a weak field and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (War Code) (12-1) - Longshot has some speed and is taking a big drop in class. Lightly raced 3yo has good breeding and is from a winning outfit. Can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #3 (Chief Warrior) (10-1) - Another going turf to dirt, shortening up, and is dropping in class. Very good barn (Wade Rarick) removes this one's blinkers and gives him a rider up-grade.
4th pick: #4 (Dana's Fast Ridge) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, he's finish 3rd in all four local starts since coming here from Emerald Downs. A factor, but I think he's beatable at a short price.
