Top pick: #1 (GLANCE'S RULE) (4-1) - Santa Anita invader is one of two entered by leading trainer Bob Diodoro and both have solid shots. This lightly-raced filly has fine early speed, breaks from the rail, and is dropping in price. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (U R Lucky) (9-2) - The second of the Diodoro pair, she comes here from Oaklawn Park where filly finished a distant second despite a very poor break. Canadian-bred has early speed, and Diodoro and jockey Scott Stevens win at a 30% clip when teamed up. Win threat completes a strong hand from the bar.
3rd pick: #3 (Thatsthewayweroll) (3-1) - Golden Gate shipper has gone 3-0-2-1 there sprinting on the "poly" surface and brings excellent early speed with her. In a good barn (Jeff Metz) and filly is a win threat if she handles the dirt.
4th pick: #6 (Majestic Lady) (12-1) - Longshot goes turf-to-dirt and cuts back in distance after setting a solid pace before weakening in a two-tur grass contest Jan. 28. I believe she'll contend at a big price.
5th pick: #4 (Blue Serenade) (4-1) - Grey daughter of "Dunkirk" has some talent and has been competitive in all four starts. May hold down a share, but filly needs to step it up for any shot at the win.
