Top pick: #3 (COLLATERAL) (5-2) - Lightly raced and well bred, she ships in from the So. California circuit. Filly finished second in a dirt sprint for a $30K tag Dec. 13th at Los Alamitos. Her new trainer (Sandi Gann) has won with four of five similar shippers at this meet. This daughter of 'Colonel John' is working fast locally and is racing on the grass for the first time. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #5 (Luv Da Skin Shesin) (9-5) - The possible favorite, filly has finished second here in three straight at this level. Two of those have been on the grass, and this speed/stalker should be involved every step. A strong win candidate.

3rd pick: #8 (Council Bet) (5) - Home bred is lightly raced and has some early speed. In her only previous turf appearance, she finished third here in late Nov. She was only 1 1/2 lengths back of 'Luv Da Skin Shesin' that day and will be a much bigger price than that filly.

4th pick: #1 (Chelokees Gem) (8-1) - Filly moves to the grass after setting a pressured pace while finishing a distant second at this level and distance on the dirt Jan. 9th. In a good barn (Molly Pearson), lightly raced Arizona product is bred to like the surface change.
