Top pick: #7 (LOVINTHELIMELIGHT) (6-1) - Price play set/pressed a fast pace before tiring in a small stake just nine days ago in his first since April 29th. Lightly raced, he'd gone (7-1-2-1) here this year before the long break and is brought back quickly for this and draws a nice post to "gun" from. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #6 (Temple of Gold) (7-2) - The probable favorite, he hails from the "high energy" barn of Mike Chambers. Claimed two back for $6000, he chased a fast pace and tired to finish third on Nov. 12 at this level in his first for the new barn. Chambers worked him on the Nov. 26 and this lightly raced 3-year-old will be involved every step.
3rd pick: #5 (Minister Cash) (3-1) - New Mexico-bred has been razor sharp in both local starts since returning off an 85 day break Oct. 30. He faces winners for the first time after a solid maiden win Nov. 20 and he earned a career best "figure" that afternoon. A threat to make it two in a row.
