2nd pick: #4 (Germany Bay) (2-1) - Once much classier, he's racing third back off an 11 1/2 month layoff. He showed an improved run last out at Los Alamitos Sept. 24th and is taking a big drop in his local debut. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1a (Terrel Me a Story) (6-1) - Very fast from the gate, this veteran has been moving back and forth from mixed races facing quarter-horses and those against fellow thoroughbreds. He's won at this distance in the past, has the rail, and runs for the first time since early February. Dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #5 (Silencio Gato) (15-1) - Alburquerque invader has been freshened up since Sept. 20th. He's been racing evenly there and could grab a minor award at a big price in this field that has some big question marks.
