2nd pick: #5 (Leo's Lookin) (9-2) - Speedy Canadian bred enters off a career best when he set a fast pace and held gamely to just miss (a "head") racing here at this level going 6-furlongs on Nov. 4th. He's now gone 4-1-1-1 at Turf Paradise, and it's nice to see him stringing starts together following several layoffs.
3rd pick: #1 (Financial District) (5-1) - Gelding by "Purim" also ran a career best overall last out. Stalker rallied late to finish just under a length back of "Leo's Lookin" that day in his first off a two month freshening. 4yo draws the rail and should factor again this afternoon.
4th pick: #6 (Marv) (10-1) - Cal shipper has spent his entire career there ships in from Golden Gate Fields where he raced evenly on the "Tapeta" surface there for a 420K tag on Nov. 2nd. Both of his wins have come on conventional dirt and he's a danger at a big price.
