2nd pick: #7 (Valentine's Gal) (5-2) - One of two fillies making their debuts, home bred worked a near bullet five furlongs here Nov. 15. Trainer Joe Johnson has Scott Stevens aboard and the pair combined to win a race here a week ago.
3rd pick: #4 (Hilda) (7-2) - The field's most experienced maiden tired badly facing tougher on the local turf Oct 24. It was her first in two months and first outside of California. Capable small barn (Deb O'Brien) drops her in class, switches her back to the dirt, and shortens her up in distance.
4th pick: #5 (Sacey Bow) (9-2) - Un-raced since Sept. 8, she's tired badly in her last pair at Canterbury Park facing better opposition. Competitive in several there prior to that, filly has a pair of above average works showing for her return.
