Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (MISS LOUJEAN) (5-2) - Mare makes her local debut and is racing second back from a five month layoff. She tired facing tougher in her return Dec 18 at Los Alamitos. Working fast since, Calif. bred make her first start at Turf Paradise a winning one.
2nd pick: #5 (Joan Ranger) (8-1) - Very lightly-raced filly tired readily when racing here at this level and distance Dec 15. It was her first since April 20 and 4-year-old probably needed the race for conditioning purposes. She's worked twice since and can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #1 (Avadiva) (4-1) - Another that's likely raced, mare has been on the sidelines for a very long time (19-months). Canadian bred was competitive in her first three starts at Hastings Park and Emerald Downs and is working very fast locally for her return. Fine barn (Mike Anderson) has leading rider Scott Stevens aboard.
4th pick: #2 (Iknowsheknowsiknow) (7-2) - Filly has an even-paced style and is shortening up in distance for this attempt. Four-year-old has finished third in two starts at this meet on the dirt at this level. One has come sprinting and the other going a mile. She should get a fast/and or contested pace to close into.
