Top pick: #1 (PENNY'S IMAGE) - He finished third sprinting on the dirt at this price in his first local outing after coming here from Golden Gate Fields on March 25th Solid effort came off almost a three month layoff and he followed that up by tiring when facing much tougher on the grass just a week later. Trainer Phil Aviedo drops him back down, switches him from turf to dirt, and shortens him up in distance.
2nd pick: #5 (Catch the King) - Gelding ships in from New Mexico where he just missed last out at Rillito Downs. He's nothinf special, but this field is very weak and he can factor as he races outside of his home state for the first time.
3rd pick: #3 (Braziliano) - He's been competitive in three of his last four and in the lone poor outing he "bolted" and dumped his rider. Speed/stalker should be involved most of the way.
