Top pick: #6 (STEPHEN'S PRIDE) (6-1) - He races second back from almost a four month break, and he tired a bit in the final furlong after chasing a swift pace in his return effort. Trainer Angel Silva brings him back quickly, and cuts him back a 1/16th.
2nd pick: #12 (Spotted Owl) (9-2) - Win candidate, he runs for the first time since Sept. 22nd when he had a troubled trip at the Stockton Fair. Lightly raced and in a good barn (Eric Kruljac), he drops to a new low, has early speed, and is working fine on this strip. Almost made him the top pick.
3rd pick: #4 (French Chocolate) (5-1) - He has some fine early speed, and is shortening up a furlong after tiring after being involved in a speed-duel last out. From the same barn as "Spotted Owl," and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Global Court) (8-1) - He's finish second here in three of his last four starts, and has blazing early speed. Must be left under consideration, but believe they'll catch him in the final furlong.
