Top pick: #7 (BET THE BANK) (8-5) - Gelding has come up a bit "short" in his first pair back from a 20 1/2 month layoff, but both have come facing tougher going longer. The high percentage Mike Chambers drops him way down, shortens him up in distance, and lightly-raced 5-year-old draws a nice outside post at this trip. Barn has won five races the past two days and can add another in today's opener.
2nd pick: #1 (Rogue Twister) (6-5) - The probable favorite, he has sharp early speed and has finished second in two straight, the latest a neck defeat on March 2nd. Gelding runs first off a claim and new trainer Priscilla Leon will add blinkers. The main danger in what looks like a two-horse race.
3rd pick: #5 (Friends Pub) (20-1) - Longshot is a minor factor, but someone has to complete the tri and/or super and think that this gelding may pass the others down the stretch at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Pirate's Dare) (5-1) - Lightly-raced gelding set a fast pace and tired at this tag in his first on this surface on March 4th. Can factor, but must do so from off the pace with "Twister" in all probability the early leader.
