Shadwell home bred by 'Bernardini' has won his two starts in easy fashion both at one-turn miles. Stalker ships back from Florida where he's been working way above average for trainer Chad Brown at the Palm Meadows training center. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Sunny Ridge) (7-2) - He won the G3 Withers Stakes here at this distance and showed a lot of grit and determination that afternoon. Competitive in five of six lifetime starts and he's improved overall since he started racing around two-turns.
3rd pick: #6 (Conquest Big E) (6-1) - Longshot ships from Gulfstream Park where he finished an even and distant foruth in the G2 Holy Bull Stakes at this trip Jan 30. It was his first start in two months and grey son of 'Tapit' was bumped at the break. Working fast since and think he can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #5 (Mo Power) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Sharp in both starts at Gulfstream, he broke his maiden there going a one-turn mile Jan 30. Repole runner by 'Uncle Mo' was training fast at Palm Beach Downs before heading north and it's of note that John Velazquez is coming in for the mount.
