Top pick: #3 (CATHY'S IRISH BOY) (5-2) - He finished third here on Feb. 17 and that afternoon chased fast fractions and held well to a much the best wire-to-wire winner. Race was his first in just over two months and can off a positive trainer change to Jane Cibelli. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Excellent Chance) (8-1) - Illinois home-bred rallied to check in fourth when debuting at Woodbine last May 13th. It was a "key" contest as the first three finishers all came back to win next out and this colt is working fast locally for his first race since then.
3rd pick: #9 (Celtic's Pride) (4-1) - Grey colt exits the same Feb. 17 contest as "Cathy" and he raced evenly while finishing 5 lengths back of that rival. Improving and he has a bullet half-mile work six days ago.
4th pick: #2 (Country Minister) (10-1) - He looks like a minor player as he runs for the first time since late October. Indiana-bred has been competitive in his four starts facing fellow state-breds and will be facing much tougher "open" company. May hang on for a small share.
