Top pick: #3 (FLEETER) - Raced evenly here from an outside post facing tougher going longer on the grass a bit over a month ago. Trainer Lon Wiggins will shorten him up in distance, switch back to the dirt, and add blinkers this afternoon. 3-year-old by "Northern Afleet" has a bullet work Jan. 9, presumably with the hood on that he'll wear today. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #10 (L'Animeaux) - Showed a bit of speed here when debuting at this tag 12 days ago and trainer Tony Pecoraro brings him back quickly for this and gelding draws a good post to stalk from. Normal improvement second time out makes him a win threat in this spot.
3rd pick: #6 (All For Peace) - Consistent sort has run well in all 5 starts when in for a tag and last out finished third here at this price in a good effort. Colt by "Peace Rules" has a hint of speed and should have a good position turning for home. Needs to finish just a bit better.
