Top pick: #5 (COURTLY FLYER) (2-1) - All three career wins have come on the turf and when last in action she tired slightly to finish fourth here facing tougher on Dec. 8. Owner/trainer Bill Bradley drops her down a bit today and this 4-year-old has been working very fast for her first race in seven weeks. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Sky Glow) (3-1) - In her only previous grass start she was only beaten three lengths in a $122k stakes at Gulfstream on Dec. 1. Speed/stalker breaks just off the rail and should be involved all the way.
3rd pick: #3 (Lucky Lass) (5-2) - Mare likes this surface (6-1-4-0), but all of those starts came for the high-percentage barn of Jamie Ness. She missed by a neck here racing for $16K on Jan. 9 and was claimed that day by Maria Bowersock. If this veteran mare holds her form she's a major factor.
4th pick: #7 (Hero's Dream) (6-1) - Strong finisher rallied to finish 5th of 10, beaten 4 lengths when facing allowance foes here on Dec. 14. Can be dangerous at a square price especially if the pace is fast/and or contested.
