Top pick: #1 (IMPERIAL POWER) (4-1) - Longtime maiden rallied to finish second here last out and it came against a lightly raced and improving runner from a top barn. Solid effort was his first at this tag and was his first on this surface. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (Guaperia) (3-1) - Gelding has faced much tougher most of his career and finished a pace-chasing second here when dropped to this level for the first time on Dec. 21. He's worked well since and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Slew City Sin) (9-2) - Lightly-raced and speedy, his connections stretch him out in distance after he finished a pace-setting second here at this level going 7 furlongs on Jan. 9. His early speed makes him dangerous.
5th pick: #10 (Goldsome) (5-1) - Not a win candidate, he has a bit of talent, but draws a tough outside post that will probably "doom him" to a wide journey. May get a small slice if one of the top three picks is sub-par.
